It was six years ago today, January 23rd 2012, that your local auction house was formed, starting off in the grip of a recession using a council storage facility & a hired hall. Many doubted, a few ridiculed.
Eleven months later, due to rapid growth, we finally found a permanent home in Liskeard. That continued growth we have shown as a company is not all down to personal endeavour but also to those who have trusted us to do our best with their valued possessions & we thank you for that continued privilege.
It was Clarks’ pioneering use of Social Media Facebook & Twitter pages among the Devon & Cornwall salerooms which enabled a good early following which also benefited sellers some great prices on more desirable pieces. There have been some tough times along the way but Christmas 2014 saw us make the breakthrough with a fine sale which made us believe it was possible.
Since these times we have been filmed by television favourites such as Antiques Road Trip, Posh Pawnbrokers & Flog It! which was especially enjoyable for all.
We always aim to provide the best possible service to our sellers within all aspects of what we do. With our strongest team ever, we hope to be making a few changes & improvements this year to be even more successful than the previous six years.
